The RYA has introduced this course to offer a great introduction to navigation and safety awareness for new or inexperienced skippers and crew. This course is aimed at anyone who has an interest in taking a boat out on tidal waters. This could be sailing, motor boating, sea angling or diving, and works well in complementing on-the-water training you may have done or be considering taking, such as the Powerboat Level 2, Start Yachting and Helmsman courses.
The course is normally taught by our principal instructor who has over 50,000 miles sailing offshore, including Atlantic crossings.
There are lots of opportunities to discuss your own boating and how to go about this safely. Course Length 16 hours. This course will usually be taught over two days or eight two-hour evening classes.
We do one on one refreshers and coaching too! £POA
